Senior Technical Analyst

Job Description

Role: Senior Technical Analyst Location: Abu Dhabi ROLE PURPOSE:

1. Manage the solution delivery and production systems within IT owned by Wholesale Banking Group ? Trade Finance Application
2. Gather detailed requirements from business users for large scale projects and/or enhancements to existing products.
3. Interface with IT infrastructure teams, departmental SME?s and Project teams to ensure that business requirements are met within a software package.
4. Articulate and document business requirements for projects, change requests etc.
5. Manage vendor service level and quality of development.
6. Oversee and direct, in conjunction with the respective Systems Analysts / Programmers or the analysis of business requirements, development of functional and program specifications, relational database design, programming, testing, implementation and documentation for the Trade Finance Management applications.
7. Coordination between project and business teams during the execution of projects and tasks.
8. Provide business with required technical support, assessments, and reports.
9. Propose technical recommendations and improvements.
10. Mitigate risks and close audit points if any on the applications and processes.
11. Manage multiple initiatives and track projects/BAU requests/ CRs to closure.
12. Closely monitor the incidents tickets and problem tickets and close them before the breach of SLA.
13. Understand the latest technology trends and provide improvement suggestion in the products.
14. Review the vendor proposal and provide feedback on the same to ensure the completeness of the scope and quality
15. Provide periodic reports and monthly updates on the ongoing initiatives to business and PMO.
16. Follow-up with service teams/vendors for support issues and respond quickly to service tickets in a timely manner.
17. Facilitate and UAT of projects, CRs by adhering to Quality control policies and guidelines.
18. Support ?go-live? and post ?go-live? activities for projects and any releases to production.

Key Accountabilities of the role:

1. Ensure assigned systems of responsibility (EE/CE) with high level of availability, performance and application security without any business impact or financial loss.
2. Provide technical operational support and issues and problems resolution for assigned systems
3. Deliver IT projects and tasks assigned for the agreed scoped business requirements, within planned budget, and planned time
4. Comply with ADIB IT processes, and procedures.
5. Ensure business continuity by conducting periodic system health check, DR rehearsal, security updates, technology updates, backups, hardware maintenance, software maintenance, license maintenance, and technical design improvement to assigned systems
6. Support requests of information, dashboards, MBLs and adhoc reports related to assigned systems.
7. Maintain the service level of vendors support and quality of development.
8. Improve awareness and keep knowledge up to date about supported systems and related IT technology solutions.

Communication:

• Attend all the team meetings, one to one meeting to have a high level of communication culture.
• Timely response to email, tasks assigned and diligent follow-up with various stakeholders.
• Prepare task status reports and submit to stakeholders on timely basis.

Documentation / Process Ownership

1. The incumbent is responsible to comply with ADIB documentation and process standards that are defined SDLC.

Information Security:

1. Maintain information security related to ADIB, throughout the period of employment.
2. Report any potential or actual risks or incidents affecting the security of information to the helpdesk.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Trade Finance, Online Banking, and Transaction Banking domain knowledge
• Project Management
• Extensive knowledge of systems integration, data processing, hardware platforms, databases, and application servers.
• Implementation and support of different Trade Products for a multi-national bank
• Analytical and strategic skills with strong presentation skills
• Be able to demonstrate capabilities in stakeholder engagement
• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

Previous experience:

• Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance and Banking domain knowledge, preferred with Eximbills product hands on experience
• Extensive knowledge of systems integration, data processing, hardware platforms, databases and application servers.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in banking domain.
• Development and customization of the Eximbills - ChinaSystem application.
• Follow-up and bug fixing are involved among the responsibilities. That is, acting as a 3rd line software support coordinator, assigning support issues to team members, solving problems encountered by customers on site as well as off-site ones.
• Be a good team player with cross techno functional knowledge and skills.
• Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
• Team management skills.

Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Engineering.
