The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure, including on-premises servers, virtual environments, and cloud platforms. The role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server, VMware, and Azure, along with strong troubleshooting, automation, and performance monitoring skills.Key Responsibilities:Lead administration of Windows Server 2012–2022 environments, including clustering, DFS, and file servers.Build, manage, and upgrade VMware virtualization environments for enterprise workloads.Monitor performance, perform capacity planning, and optimize Azure and on-premises systems.Remotely manage servers using iLO, DRAC, RSA, and work with blade/rack hardware and hypervisors.Configure cloud VMs and web applications via Azure Portal and PowerShell; support private, public, and hybrid cloud models.Troubleshoot, analyze logs, and identify root causes for system issues.Handle Level 1 & 2 support escalations and collaborate across teams for automation, deployment, and optimization.Implement and maintain security, backup, and disaster recovery processes for servers and applications.Document processes, configurations, and support activities for compliance and knowledge management.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.5+ years of experience in systems administration, preferably in enterprise environments.Hands-on experience with Windows Server, VMware, Azure, and cloud deployments.Familiarity with server hardware, blade/rack configurations, and remote management tools.Experience with automation, scripting (PowerShell), and monitoring tools.
