Job Title: Senior Planning EngineerLocation: United Arab Emirates (UAE)Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Oil & Gas / Engineering ConsultancyJob Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of engineering or construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, coordinating with project teams, and reporting on progress to stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline, look-ahead, recovery) using Primavera P6 or similar planning software.Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather project data and updates.Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and time impact analysis (TIA) for delays and changes.Monitor project progress and highlight risks or delays to senior management with mitigation strategies.Develop and update project WBS (Work Breakdown Structures) and cost-loaded schedules.Perform critical path analysis and advise on resource allocation and optimization.Attend client and consultant meetings to present project updates and planning insights.Ensure alignment between planning activities and contract requirements, specifications, and milestones.Support claims and variations by providing necessary scheduling evidence.Train and guide junior planning staff or site engineers as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum 8+ years of experience in planning/scheduling, with at least 3–5 years in a senior role.Strong experience in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.Solid understanding of FIDIC contracts, EPC or Design-Build projects (depending on sector).Previous UAE or GCC experience is highly preferred.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and delay analysis techniques.Preferred Skills:Experience working on mega infrastructure, high-rise buildings, oil & gas, or government projects.Certification such as PMP, PSP (AACE), or equivalent is a plus.Knowledge of local authority regulations and permitting processes (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT, etc.).[update cv in your account with required details and apply online]
