Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer with extensive experience in Brownfield Modifications & Procurement activitiesThis is a 12 Months fixed contract based in Dubai on a residential basis.Please note that at this stage, applications for this role are invited as an Expression of Interest (EOI) whilst opportunities are being fully determined.General Competencies/Skills

  • Recent working within procurement support activities and independently handled MRQ preparation, bid clarifications, TBE, upon award review of drawings, inspection and other QA/QC activities.
  • Should be pragmatic, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative.
  • Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English.
  • Expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
  • Willingness to interact directly with people.
  • Ability to work in an organised and structured fashion, and within time constraints.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Degree level qualification in Mechanical / Piping Engineering.
Experience Profile:
  • Minimum of 10+ years engineering experience in oil and gas field including onshore facilities for piping and valves.
  • Must have working knowledge and experience of piping discipline relevant onshore oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices.
  • Good knowledge of various valve design & code requirements such as API 6D, ASME B16.34, etc.
  • Good knowledge of various Material used in Oil & gas industry & familiar with ASTM & NACE standard requirements.
  • Must have working knowledge and experience on preparation of Piping Specification & Datasheets for valves and piping speciality item
