Job Description

JOB PURPOSE Dnata?s centralised Purchasing team provides a company-wide solution to managing supplier relationships with hotels, DMCs, touring companies and attraction companies. Your job is to work alongside the Purchasing Manager in securing new contracts, maintaining existing relationships, negotiating new offers and many other commercial benefits. Purchasing also works with all the brands in the dnata group and part of your job is to ensure information, documents and reporting are in place to allow open and easy communication between Purchasing and the dnata brands. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO OBJECTIVE AREAS 1. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key contacts across all assigned suppliers in order to facilitate negotiations and secure the edge over competition. 2. Deliver account management with clear development plans for leading hotel companies assigned in each market and supervise the Purchasing Executives in the execution of account management. 3. Work hand in hand with the product team to set and deliver the bed brief and highlight, at all times, opportunities throughout the region. 4. Manage the supplier negotiation process with the close support of the Purchasing Manager at the optimal time to ensure that required rates, allocations and release periods are agreed, competitive, finalised, comprehensively loaded and available in accordance with agreed SLAs and briefs with affiliates to ensure speed to market and differentiation can be maintained. Directly accountable for room materialization at the assigned selected hotels. Constantly monitoring and managing performance and taking necessary action. 5. Work in cloase collaboration with the the internal customer?s marketing/product teams, to ensure maximum contribution from suppliers is being raised for brands campaigns and brochures. 6. With the support of the Purchasing Manager, maximise commercial return on relationships by ensuring highly competitive overrides are incorporated into the contracting process and ensure supplier revenue targets are met and if necessary re-negotiated to achieve the best financial gain. 7. Oversee site inspections of existing and new properties to ascertain suitability. 8. Supervise the loading of rates and information for assigned suppliers into the contracting system, ensuring minimal errors in collaboration with the loading teams and in line with defined quality control standards and service level agreements. 9. In collaboration with the internal brands? product teams, evaluate market requirements related to the needs of tactical products (i.e. new destinations, weak periods etc.) to support the defined business strategy. 10. Manage the contract library and control document access to ensure consistent record retention and facilitate the resolution of contract issues to minimise any impact on service disruption, ensure that reviews are conducting (including legal) in a timely manner. 11. Implement the Health and Safety procedures set by the company
