We have an exciting opportunity for a legal executive to join the Emirates Group legal team supporting the world?s largest international airline and one of the world?s most dynamic aviation groups. You will provide legal support to the team that handles compliance programs relating to antitrust, anti-bribery & corruption, sanctions & export control and other key areas of legal compliance and corporate governance, including company secretarial support. It is a diverse portfolio of work and you will be responsible for: Legal Compliance - researching legal developments impacting ESG programs and sharing best practice developments with the team; - supporting the Legal Compliance and Corporate governance team on compliance and governance matters; - drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal / compliance documents; - supporting business units in respect of sanction and export control due diligence processes; - providing legal input into KYC responses; - providing legal support in respect of initiatives intended to combat modern slavery including the drafting and filing of modern slavery statements; - contributing to Group communications (including content for awareness campaigns and training). Corporate Governance - supporting the Group Company Secretary with the day to day management of the company secretarial portfolio including the review and filing of confirmation statements for UK companies; - drafting Powers of Attorney for Group personnel (and associated administration); and - assisting with outstation branch registrations. Administration - Management of compliance systems, technology and legal resources (including Diligent Entities & Compliance Wave); - Maintaining records of compliance practices; and - Trend analysis for reports. This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of our Legal Compliance and Corporate Governance team. If you have excellent academic credentials, strong English language skills for communication and drafting, and compliance experience with a leading regional or international law firm or in-house department of a major international corporation we would like to hear from you. Previous experience working for an airline or in the travel industry is an advantage, but not essential. Enthusiasm and motivation are essential, as are interpersonal skills.
