DescriptionPetrofac is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer - Commissioning (Sulfuric Acid Plant) to join our Project Delivery Support based in United Arab Emirates. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who want to discuss flexible working or job-sharing requests.Main purpose of the role:Carry out pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, test run and normal operation of sulfuric acid plant of 4800 TPD capacity.Key Accountabilities:Process:

  • Process knowledge of sulfuric acid plant and its various operation modes and key parameters to be monitored in various sections.
  • Ability to perform start-up, normal operation and trial run of a sulfuric acid plant.
  • Ability to provide inputs to engineering and ensure the plant is designed facilitating commissionability, start-up, normal operation, and maintenance.
Mechanical
  • Ability to review various equipment data sheet and drawings related to sulfuric acid plant and ensure they are in line with requirement to meet the project purpose.
  • Sound knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning of special MOC heat exchangers, steam turbine package, boilers, high-capacity blower.
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering with experience in Petrochemical industry.
  • Hands on leadership of a team of commissioning discipline engineers and operators in carrying out Pre-Commissioning/Commissioning & Start-up activities. Provide necessary technical information for the other disciplines during the project. Coordinate the work within the budgeted man hour and project schedule.
