The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for securing and protection of property, guests and colleagues, ensuring that the safety and security procedures are followed Under the general guidance and supervision of the Security Head of Department.The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Brief the senior security officers and security officers on the security plan for the hotel including incident response mechanisms and escalation process, in order to enable the identification and mitigation of all risks to guests, colleagues and assets.
• Ensure training is delivered and implemented to all security officers thus ensuring that the security training plan is delivered as per the agreed guidelines.
• Complete all log books, follow up on all outstanding matters from previous shifts; investigate incidents and handover as required.
• Manage and update the perspective incident reporting system and ensure that all relevant information is passed on to the relevant department and individuals.
• Escalate incidents to the Assistant Security Manager that require further action in a timely manner.
• Regularly patrol duty posts in conjunction with senior security officers and sign relevant logs as required.
• Conduct regular fire patrols including any construction and refurbishment areas ensuring compliance both by contractors and colleagues and report any irregularities.
• Respond to emergency incidents as and when notified and report back details to the senior management. Manage the security response team should an event develop into an emergency or crisis.
• Ensure lost & found enquiries are handed efficiently and correctly and any property claimed returned promptly and in compliance to the lost & found process.

About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:Essential:

• Security license holder
• Minimum 3 years of Security guard/Officer experience or 1 year Senior Security Officer experience, preferably in Hospitality industry
• Good command of verbal and written English
• Knowledge of firefighting equipment
• Knowledge of CCTV operation
• First aid and CPR trained
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of handling emergency situations and evacuation
