Job Title: Patch Solution AdministratorJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Patch Solution Administrator with at least 5 years of experience. The Patch Solution Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing patching tools such as Ivanti, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Microsoft Intune. The role involves configuring and maintaining these tools to ensure effective deployment of security patches across our infrastructure, including over 10,000 servers, 40,000 endpoint devices, and various third-party applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and stability of our systems through timely and accurate patch management.Responsibilities:1.Configure and maintain patching tools (e.g., Ivanti, MECM, Microsoft Intune) to ensure optimal performance and functionality.2.Design and implement patch management processes and workflows, adhering to industry best practices.3.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, security teams, and application owners, to determine patch requirements and deployment schedules.4.Assess and prioritize patches based on severity, criticality, and system dependencies.5.Develop and implement patch deployment strategies for different types of assets, including servers, workstations, and applications.6.Test and validate patches in lab environments before deployment to production systems.7.Monitor patch compliance levels and perform regular audits to ensure adherence to patch management policies and standards.8.Troubleshoot and resolve patch deployment issues, working closely with technical support teams and vendors when necessary.9.Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices related to patch management.10.Provide recommendations for improving the patch management process, including automation, reporting, and monitoring capabilities.11.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications.Technical Skills and Qualifications:1.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).2.Proven experience as a Patch Solution Administrator or in a similar patch management role.3.In-depth knowledge of patching tools such as Ivanti, MECM, and Microsoft Intune.4.Strong understanding of patch management best practices and methodologies.5.Experience in configuring and optimizing patch management solutions for large-scale environments.6.Familiarity with security vulnerabilities, exploits, and common attack vectors.7.Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for automation and reporting.8.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex patching issues.9.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.10.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Certified Ivanti Administrator) are a plus.
