The School Social Worker supports the emotional, social, and academic development of students by identifying and addressing issues that affect their well-being and performance in school. This role involves working closely with students, parents, teachers, and external agencies to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.Identify at-risk students and develop intervention strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators.Conduct assessments and create support plans tailored to individual student needs.Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations.Address issues such as bullying, truancy, family crises, substance abuse, and child protection.Support students with learning differences, disabilities, or those facing socio-economic challenges.Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support inclusive education and student welfare.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.Relevant experience in school settings or child welfare is an advantage.Licensing or certification may be required, depending on local regulations.
