The School Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to students and staff, promoting health and wellness, and managing medical emergencies within the school environment. The nurse will assess, treat, and monitor health issues, maintain health records, and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration to ensure a healthy school community.Key Responsibilities:Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff.Monitor students’ health conditions and provide appropriate interventions.Maintain accurate health records and confidentiality of student information.Manage medication administration in accordance with school policies.Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, etc.).Promote health education and wellness programs.Collaborate with parents and healthcare providers regarding student health concerns.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Assist during health-related emergencies and coordinate with emergency services if needed.Maintain medical supplies and equipment.Qualifications:Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent certification.Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare is preferred.Knowledge of child health and safety standards.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.Compassionate, patient, and attentive to students’ needs.
