Job Purpose:The Scaffolding Engineer is responsible for the design, planning, inspection, and safety assurance of all scaffolding structures on-site. This includes ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and project-specific safety requirements.Key Responsibilities:Design & Planning – Prepare and review scaffolding designs, provide tailored solutions.Coordination & Supervision – Work with project teams, supervise erection/modification/dismantling.Safety & Compliance – Ensure compliance with OSHA, BS EN 12811, CISRS, OSHAS, conduct inspections, issue scaffold tags.Documentation & Reporting – Maintain scaffold registers, inspection reports, RAMS, method statements.Training & Support – Provide technical guidance, conduct toolbox talks, ensure qualified teams.Qualifications:Bachelor’s / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)Certification in Scaffolding Engineering/Inspection (CISRS/CITB/NASC or equivalent)Scaffolding Design Certification (advantageous)NEBOSH / IOSH or other HSE certifications (preferred)Experience:3–4 years in scaffolding design & supervision (oil & gas, construction, or industrial sectors)Strong knowledge of scaffolding materials & systems (cuplock, ringlock, tube & fitting)AutoCAD or similar design software is a plusSkills & Competencies:Strong technical & structural scaffolding knowledgeAbility to read/interpret engineering drawingsExcellent communication & coordinationSolid understanding of HSE regulationsAttention to detail & safety awarenessWork Conditions:Site-based role, may require extended hours/weekendsMust be physically fit to inspect scaffolding at heights
