Key job responsibilities• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments• Investigate incidents and accidents, recommending corrective actions• Provide safety training to employees and maintain training records• Ensure compliance with local and federal safety regulations• Coordinate with management to address safety concerns and implement improvements• Maintain safety documentation and reportsA day in the lifeAs a safety coordinator, your day-to-day activities would likely include the following:Safety Inspections:• Conduct daily walk through inspections of the facility• Perform GEMBA walks to identify potential hazards and safety concernsSafety Meetings:• Lead or participate in daily safety briefings with teams• Attend and contribute to regular safety committee meetingsIncident Management:• Respond to and investigate any safety incidents or near-misses• Document incidents in Amazons Gensuite system• Assist in developing and implementing corrective actionsSafety Data Management:• Monitor and update safety metrics and KPIs• Maintain accurate safety records and documentationPermit to Work System:• Review and approve daily work permits for high-risk activitiesAbout the teamThis role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on workplace safety in a dynamic environment.
