JOB OUTLINE: Implement Revenue Optimisation (RO) policies and strategies utilising Origin and Destination (O&D), Pricing and Inventory Management tools to achieve optimum revenue. Achieve defined RO Key Performance Indicators: - Yield, route profitability, seat factor and market share and coach regional teams in development/implementation of new decision support systems. Analyse market trends that influence Emirates? commercial performance, provide network wide pricing recommendations that optimise corporate revenue, route yield and profitability. - Implement the agreed Revenue Optimisation strategy for Emirates that includes the integration of origin and destination management, pricing and multi-channel sales strategies, revenue targets, yield targets, flight management targets for the assigned regions. - Evaluate trends in market conditions using information available from various sources, including market intelligence reports relative to competitor activities, political/economic trends, industry development and drive route profitability encompassing optimum cabin/class/point of sale mix. - Plan and evaluate tour operator proposals from the network for medium (1-3 years) and short-term allotments aimed at enhancing revenue growth by providing visible presence for Emirates in the Tour Operator Market whilst minimising risk to Emirate?s inventory. - Develop and implement plan along with HR management (including recruitment and selection) on training and development, performance appraisals and quality management issues. - Engage in RO forecast meetings with the Market Operation teams to define and develop strategies to maximise revenue and yield across the network. Ensure both route and market strategies are in place across a rolling 52-week period and necessary controls are in place to drive incremental network benefits. - Ensure controls used to steer traffic across the network are agreed across both the Inventory, Market Operations and RO Analytics teams and are implemented within PROS OD or MARS in a timely manner. Disseminate forecast information to the leadership team and highlight revenue earning opportunities. SPECIFIC JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES LINKED TO SPECIFIC ROLES DEMAND MANAGER Monitor and control the optimisation of O&D revenue, using system reports and daily interaction with Pricing/Demand analysts. Utilise the PROS O&D system to achieve optimal bid prices on significant ODs for the allocated POS. Analyse factors affecting demand such as changes in pricing, availability and network structure, external market environment economy, market size, market trends and competitive environment. - Monitor, analyse and map POS O&D demand within the PROS O&D system for holiday and special events to ensure POS O&D demand and market/fare strategies are planned and evaluate across a rolling 52-week period. Lead and participate in holiday and special event workshops within key commercial, pricing and inventory stakeholders. - Interact with the relevant flight analyst teams and route managers daily to provide data and direction on market demand trends, O&D forecasts. Agree and plan POS O&D strategies with the Revenue and Inventory team that promotes both route revenue and POS O&D revenue. Ensure agreed strategies are implemented using controls that are defined within the RO standards and procedures. - Implement procedures and controls for the O&D forecasting and optimisation systems. Control and monitor the performance of the point-of-sale control system. Plan and implement systems and reports to ensure the balance between leg and O&D availability is managed to ensure that seats are available at the appropriate fare across both legs and O&Ds to maximise revenue for Emirates. - Analyse actual and forecast demand and revenues using different variables - such as booking class, fare family, customer segment, point of sale, Origin & Destination, for decision making and subsequent actions according to Revenue Management reporting requirements. Evaluate market trends, forward bookings, competitor behaviour, performance of past initiatives and offer proactive recommendations for pricing actions aimed at supporting local sales office revenue targets. GROUPS MANAGER Manage the Groups segment by developing and implementing Revenue Optimisation strategies to increase Groups revenue contribution from the network using Pricing, Inventory, and analytics tools. Utilise the Groups system to generate incremental revenue on traffic flows for the network and optimise Groups demand considering price, availability, market dynamics and competitive environment. - Direct and manage the group booking process and strategies for group movements including tour operator series. Ensure all data reporting is in place to analyse group travel inventory allocations and performance in line with SLA?s and targets. Use group management systems including Amadeus Aerospace to ensure that groups are booked and managed in line with business and market requirements. - Manage strategies for the large group traffic flow such as HAJ, UMRAH, MICE, Cruise, sports and other events. Ensure appropriate system controls, terms and conditions are in place to mitigate risks associated to spoilage to drive revenue growth. - Recommend group inventory management and pricing strategies by analysing traffic patterns, group contribution, and changing market conditions to optimise revenue and yield. Collaborate with the Revenue Operations and Network Planning teams for ad-hoc schedule support and long-term schedule modifications through the analysis of changing market conditions. - Establish strong relationships with commercial teams on growing and diversifying group segment revenue opportunities. Develop long term sustainable technology solutions for group traffic enabling ease of use in both B2B and B2C environment. PRICING MANAGER Implement Revenue Optimisation (RO) policies and maximising network revenue utilising Origin and Destination Pricing management tools. Achieve defined RO key performance indicators ? Revenue, Seat factor, Yield, Route profitability and market share. - Manage Pricing for Emirates key business products. Develop, implement, and monitor pricing programmes and products such as baggage policy, corporate deals, sea/marine programmes, student programmes, MICE, and air/sea programmes. - Provide a single point of contact for the Sales teams for the approval and distribution of fare programmes and pricing products to the market. Negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders. Develop multi-gateway pricing structures which facilitate strategic traffic flows over online and interline gateways. Apply detailed understanding of analytical tools, pricing systems and approval processes in recommending continuous process improvement for the Pricing team. - Analyse industry best-practices and market trends that influence Emirates long term commercial strategy and provide recommendations for revenue, seat factor and yield improvement. - Evaluate, monitor, and report on market share data, competitor pricing, product differential, channel mix and political/economic activities to recommend initiatives to generate incremental revenue and maximise route profitability. Develop multi-gateway pricing structures which facilitate strategic traffic flows over online and interline gateways.
