About the job Retail ManagerOur client is a distributor of leisurewear and sleepwear, looking to hire a self-driven Retail Manager who will be responsible for a variety of duties including managing overall store operations, recruiting and scheduling employees, training and evaluating employees, and following up on work results, and other.Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or/any relevant education.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Retail Manager in the UAE.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably with sales and store management experience
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Reliability and dependability are key traits.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to improve and succeed.
  • Good knowledge of sales and marketing.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company?s success
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Great interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • The ability to travel internationally within the GCC and Europe zone are necessary.
  • Valid UAE drivinglicense with own car.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations and managing store staff of our own-concept multi-brand store.
  • Plan and implement the overall store strategy
  • Create a healthy and enjoyable store work environment
  • Recruit and hire new store employees
  • Train and evaluate store employees; train store employees on corporate policies and procedures
  • Oversee store schedulings and shifts to ensure staffing optimization
  • Collaborate with the various head office functions (merchandising, marketing) to ensure store needs are met and that stores are maximizing their individual sales potential
  • Work closely with product and visual merchandising and marketing teams to develop strong product offerings matching each store?s specific clientele
  • Determine and set basic store KPIs
  • Track and report on store KPIs
  • Support store supervisors on their clienteling outreach programs and initiatives.
  • Work closely with teams to develop loyal, returning clientele.
  • Collaborate on all client CRM programs, marketing events, and initiatives
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors, mall operations, and management contacts
  • Support the stores in their operational needs by liaising with maintenance suppliers and vendors to ensure stores are in excellent condition and well maintained
  • Use the appropriate software to keep track of inventory losses and/or shrinkage along with head office stock and finance counterparts
  • Suggest new operational strategies to improve the stores performance and productivity
  • Work with finance teams to review profit and loss figures (P&L) and implement new measures as needed
