Reporting to the Program Manager, Program Director/Director/Principal Investigator, and other co-PIs. To work in hospitals interviewing women with newborn children. To provide research support thereby contributing to the academic and research mission of the University. To provide support for the operational activities of the program.This role is expected toInterview mothers across hospitals to contribute to the data collection as per the program?s protocol.Support research-related activities including efficient literature review, data collection, and support write up of manuscripts mainly background, methods, referencing.Work with the program manager/principal investigator to support the smooth running of day-to-day activities of study team including but not limited to: communicating with hospitals, coordinating with transportation team, scheduling hospital visits, attending meetings and recording meeting minutes, preparing presentations and reports when requested.Research related tasks including data collection, and literature reviewData CollectionTo travel to assigned hospitals around the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to perform interviews with women with newborn children.To use a handheld device/tablet to collect interview dataTo follow ethical guidelines associated with the projectTo be empathetic and kind to intervieweesEnsure that the project plan (protocol) is adhered to at all times.To keep careful records of interviews performed and any discrepancies.Write-up and disseminationParticipate in supporting scientific research as a professionally responsible member of the research teamParticipate in writing manuscripts and reports that pertain to the program;Presentation of findings: present findings from the data collection process to line manager and PI using PowerPoints or other methods of presentationAdministrative related tasksReports and takes direction from PI and Program manager.Contribute to the overall activities of the research team as requested.Coordinate with other entities including but not limited to hospitals, university departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as requested.Perform a variety of administrative duties for the program; and to perform related duties as assigned.Attend meetings and record meeting minutes as needed.Support in the scheduling of hospital visits and allocation of resources.GeneralEffective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in working with various stakeholders, physicians, and the public or private entities.Work as part of a large, interdisciplinary research team.Ensures adherence to the Universitys information security policies and procedures, and reports breaches or other security risks accordingly.Ensures coordination with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.Ensures delivery of tasks as per the set timelines.Ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work.Complete required courses and trainings as requested.Performs any other tasks assigned by the Study Leadership (Co-PIs) and the line managers.Supports periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly.Performs any other tasks assigned by the Study Leadership (PI and Co-PIs) and the line managers.High degree of empathy and emotional intelligenceQualificationsRequired QualificationsFemale applicants only (data will be collected from pregnant women after delivery)Bachelor?s Degree in related fields (Health and social related fields are a plus)Language competency in English and Arabic are required.High degree of empathy and emotional intelligenceSensitivity towards potentially challenging emotional situationsRequired ExperiencesExperience in interviewing for surveysStrong familiarity with working with digital devices (e.g. tablets)Preferred ExperiencesExperience with interviewing womenExperience with interviews covering sensitive areasFamiliarity or experience with healthcare research programs in the Middle East.You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position.
