The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and cost control throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure it is completed within budget and to the required standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projectsManage tendering processes and evaluate contractor bidsConduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQ)Monitor project expenditures and track variations or changesPrepare and review contracts, subcontracts, and agreementsLiaise with clients, contractors, and consultants on commercial mattersConduct site visits to verify progress and validate claimsAssess and value progress payments, variations, and final accountsProvide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolutionSupport procurement of materials and subcontractorsMaintain detailed project cost reports and documentationQualifications & Experience:Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management2–5+ years of experience in quantity surveying or cost managementFamiliarity with construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT)Proficiency in cost estimating and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD, MS Excel)
