Job Description

Title:Project Manager - Hospitals , Roads, infrastructure ProjectsProject Manager ? Hospitals and roads Infrastructure ProjectsRole:The successful candidate Must have experience in Managing hospitals and roads projects and he will be managing infrastructure projects located in Iraq. During the Engineering and Procurement phase, he will be based in Abu Dhabi with the requirement to travel to Iraq (Basra region) on business trips from time to time for meetings with the Client and site visits. He will then have to move to the Iraqi site on full time (rotation) basis during the Construction phase. It could be 6 months to 1 year in Abu Dhabi, followed by a year+ in Iraq.Experience in hospitals construction projects is a must and in roads construction is a plus. In addition, he should have had previous exposure to the Iraqi projects and environment (local clients, civil regulations and regulatory bodies, local contractors and resources, etc.)Job duties :

  • Managing infrastructure projects at Concept, Select, Define and Execute stages of the project life cycle, including engineering (Pre-FEED, FEED, DD), procurement, construction and commissioning.
  • Manage and direct the team in developing of tender documentation. Coordinate and obtain required approvals from government officials and Client.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure project goals and objectives are accomplished and quality standards are met within established time frames and funding constraints.
  • Establish scopes, schedules, and budgets for each project phase. Track and report schedule and budget performance throughout the project duration.
  • Work collaboratively with development teams, internal departments, and outside agencies and stakeholders to execute projects in coordination with all applicable standards, codes, guidelines, regulatory requirements and meeting all project requirements.
  • Prepare documents for consultant and contractor solicitation and bidding such as a Request for Proposal (RFP), Scope of Work (SOW), or Invitation to Tender (ITT). Evaluate proposals for consultant and contractor selections.
  • Knowledge of design and construction of buildings and roads , ability to monitor deliverables for adherence to client criteria, also help execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the projects.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering related civil/ infrastructure.
  • Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience in infrastructure works related to projects within Middle East.
  • Must have the ability to manage projects and interface with clients .
  • Training and development leadership experience is beneficial
  • Record of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient with general office computer programs and MS Project scheduling and AutoCAD drafting programs.
