You will use your mechanical expertise to:-Own the design for data center projects and design-solutions which add infrastructure, capacity, improve availability, and/or increase sustainability.-Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.-Interface with internal and external data center design engineering team, server hardware team,environmental health and safety team, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.-Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.-Develop into a technical subject matter expert-Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.Our Design Engineers:• Use their engineering judgement to provide design decisions and recommendations despite uncertainty• Are detail and data oriented• Are familiar with design/construction standards & processes• Have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants.• Can build trust and relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction and Design)• Can prepare and present progress reports to relevant stakeholders• Are comfortable working on live sites as and when required• Can effectively prioritizeKey job responsibilities:- Work with internal teams to understand user requirements.- Carry out designs & calculations to meet project requirements- Manage design consultancy firms to generate, review and release data center designs- Manage change, versioning and configuration control.- Draft and approval of project scopes, request for proposals (RFP) and request for information (RFI).- Work with commissioning teams to validate installation, operation, and performance of systems- Travel for site review and conduct engineering evaluations, audits, and site launches- Review and approve equipment submittals- Work with internal teams to trouble shoot problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA) for design related problems- Work with regional vendors and manufactures to specify the appropriate mechanical equipment.- Provide technical support for information requests during construction phases.- Offer offer creative, out of the box solutions- Up to 30% travel in EMEA region including but limited to Ireland, Germany, Spain, Israel, Bahrain, KSA and South Africa.You will be redirected to the company website to apply for this position
