Process Safety EngineerJob Location : UAEJob Responsibilities:?Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments using tools such as PHAST, SAFETI, Flaresim, and others.?Undertake consequence modelling, fire risk assessments, flare radiation and vent dispersion, and design fire protection systems and detection systems.?Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments using software like PHAST, SAFETI, ExSILentia, Bowtie XP, and PHA PRO.?Design active and passive fire protection systems, specify safety equipment, and determine locations for fire/gas detectors, evacuation routes, and safety equipment plans.?Conduct MAHM studies, including Bow tie, EERA, ESSA, COMAH studies, safety case generation, and ALARP demonstrations.?Ensure adherence to project procedures, engineering specifications, and international codes and standards, such as NFPA, API, and OGP.?Prepare proposals under the direction of a Principal Consultant or Director.?Interact with clients on technical issues related to process safety design.Job Requirements:?Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering; minimum 7-12 years of relevant post-qualification experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, both onshore and offshore fields, with experience in process safety across various project phases.?Familiarity with ADNOC/QatarEnergy Standards, international HSE codes, SHELL DEP, and NFPA standards.?Prior HSE consultancy experience in the Middle East, particularly in the UAE, Qatar, and Muscat.?Advanced skills in MS Office applications and Office365 suite.?Project management experience and client-facing skills.?Ability to manage project workload and function in a team environment.?Strong analytical skills and experience in report construction and writing.?Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.?Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively overseas.?Mandatory MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation; candidates without this accreditation must be willing to achieve it within the probationary period.
