Design experience within the Water Industry including in areas such as potable water production and distribution, wastewater treatment and sludge treatment, pumping systems and chemical dosing plants etc.
Typical duties will include carrying out outline and detailed mechanical design, preparing schedules, drawings and specifications and assisting with project delivery.
Carry out site surveys and produce technical feasibility reports.
Carry out equipment sizing calculation.
Experience in delivery of project deliverables such as P & IDs, general arrangements, data sheets, pump calculation and scope of works documentation etc.
Represent?AECOM in technical meetings with client and Authorities and work with engineers from other disciplines, ensuring an appropriate integrated solution.
Mentor Junior/Graduate Engineers to promote their technical and professional development. Manage day to day task of junior engineers, responsible for performance and efficiency.
Act as lead verifier for the work being done by the Mechanical team.
Ability to manage work to programme, cost and quality requirements.
Experience of delivering Health & Safety by design.
Experience in HAZOP, HAZID, DSEAR and SWIFT processes
Extensive knowledge and understanding of authority requirements in UAE and KSA.
Knowledge and experience in pipe surge analysis.
Knowledge and experience in pipe stress analysis.
Knowledge and experience in CFD modelling will be a plus.
Should be considered a subject matter expert in field of mechanical engineering within water industry.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 15 years design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Engineer or equivalent
BSc, BEng, MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
