Job Description

Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based on site to support ADNOC Onshore - Bu Hasa project team. Successful candidate must have extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. Below duties

  • Development of the BOQ from the MTO?s in accordance with the relevant policies and procedures and contractual requirements
  • Ensure alignment with ADNOC estimating guidelines
  • Develop and issue to relevant parties for approval / comment the Basis of Estimate for each project or proposal cost estimate to be developed
  • Develop and maintain project and proposal cost estimates in accordance with the Basis of Estimate, including statements of work scope, man-hour estimates, narratives, and review/comment on client documents
  • Participate in internal project cost estimate reviews and operations and cost reviews, coordinate comments and obtain estimate sign-off approval from relevant parties
  • Deliver presentations of reviewed estimates to ADNOC for approval
  • Produce and issue updates to project / proposal cost estimates in a controlled manner
  • Liaise with project cost control and planning to ensure project budgets are developed to reflect the structure and content of the approved project cost estimate
  • Ensure the corporate risk process is applied to project / proposal cost estimates as required
  • Undertake the formal filing of project and proposal estimates, the collection of project historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases and norms in a controlled manner
  • Coordinate development and issue of project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notifications
  • Assess and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notifications
  • Participate in Project Audits for the Estimating function
  • Provide guidance and support to subordinate project controls estimating staff as required
Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in QS or relevant engineering
  • Minimum 13 years of experience in site construction oil and gas QS activities
  • Site experience of Oil and Gas EPC mega projects
  • Site experience of quantity measurement for oil flow Pipeline, OHL, plant construction (Earth work, Civil, piping and Electrical and Instrument)
  • skilled in reconciliation of as-built quantities with Design quantities
  • Skilled in forecasting the quantities of commodities
  • Have worked with main EPC Contractor, and enable to do coordination with contractors / subcontractors
  • Skilled in Contractor?s progress invoices making /verification
  • Skilled in quantifying scope quantities of commodities from drawings
