Overview / ResponsibilitiesWood is currently recruiting for a PMC Project Manager to join one of ADNOC group of company projects. This position will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Job PurposeManage the assigned projects and ensure project delivery in line with the highest HSE standards and project objectives in terms of scope, quality, cost and time. Manages Projects relating to both new facilities and modifications to existing plants. Generally, handles several projects and studies on schedule incompliance with 100% HSE objectivesPlan, lead, and manage the execution of the technical and engineering aspects of the project within agreed time, cost, technical and quality standards in order to achieve the strategic objectives of clientKey Accountabilities

• Manage the verification of bidders list, pre-qualification evaluation, development of tender/enquiries, selection of engineering consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMC) and EPC Contractor
• Manage and resolve difficulties and challenges through detailed analysis and provide recommendations for proper solutions in line with Company and International standards and best practices
• Monitor and ensure that the quality and progress of work performed by licensors, Engineering and EPC Contractors is aligned with contract requirements and specifications
• Ensure Company policies for technical, safety, quality and environment are correctly addressed while identifying bottlenecks and recommending corrective action to ensure smooth and timely completion of the project at optimum cost
• Lead the development of schedule, cost estimate and budget for the project. Review and recommend the same for Tender Board and Management endorsement/approval
• Provide Technical Expertise to ensure effective Management of all the projects phases and prepare weekly highlights and progress reports.
• Verify Certification of Contractor/Vendors invoices and endorse final acceptance certification
• Review all Change Order Requests, claims and participate in developing the recommendation for settling of variations/claims.
• Ensure that the contractor submits the required documentation in the specified format including the project hand-over documents along with the Close-out Report, Facilitate and manage the coordination between the end users and PMC/ EPC, IVB, HSEIA, other sub-contractors and other agencies involved in the project
• Develop, in liaison with other divisions, the annual overall work program and Projects budget and to control expenditure and justify variance
• Coordinate with other divisions and end user to ensure the accuracy of Projects Engineering Packages and documents and agree necessary changes to suit project various phases
• Manages the day-to-day operations of project engineering, providing expertise, encouraging and ensuring teamwork, aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and objectives
• As a member of project management team, participate and contributes to the development and refinement of the project plan and contribute to the overall process engineering and decision making to maximize and optimize the project efficiency and productivity
• Contribute to the development and preparation of the project budget through providing technical engineering inputs to ensure that the projects requirements are met in timely and efficient manner in accordance with management expectations
• To direct the coordination and with the Projects and provision of input at the planning and execution phases of the projects, to secure a proper integration and hand-over of Projects with the existing assets
• Manage the Service Contracts by securing optimal terms and conditions for client and monitoring all third-party Engineering Supplier Relations ensuring that client is offered the best quality products and services at competitive prices suppliers in confirming their compliance with their contractual obligations
• To direct the efficient cooperation with the Technical Group to receive the required engineering/technical support and to ensure the effective application of technical standards as well as the timely delivery of Technical Projects within the budget and as per project objectives
• To direct the coordination and provision of input at the planning and execution phases of the projects, to secure a proper integration and hand-over of Projects with the existing assets
• Contribute to the tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award processes in accordance with client policies to ensure corporate objectives are met
• Contribute to the pre-qualification process based on bidders technical, financial, commercial and experience to evaluate bidders through one platform to assign an overall technical score
• Commission and operate project in coordination with Projects to ensure that contractual terms are met
• Participates in the ongoing training and development of assigned UAE national Employees
• Includes assessing UAE Nationals employees training and development needs, directing the preparation structured development/familiarization programs, monitoring and reporting on progress and counselling employees as required. Emiratization targets are met

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
• Minimum 15 years of similar experience in Engineering Project implementation in Oil and Gas industry with at least 6 years in a relevant senior functional management role; managing engineering multidisciplinary functions for the design of assets/facilities; exposure to preparation of Front End Engineering and Design packages
• Experience in Project Team Leader/Manager with Onshore/Offshore Brownfield Project
• Engineering background and adequate knowledge of Oil field operational aspect
• Knowledge to evaluate the key aspects of various discipline interface and provide technical guidance and expertise on Engineering Issues
• Manage and direct team engineering activities of PMC /EPC contractors/ TPA/ IVB and other subcontractors
