Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Pet Care Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to pets, assisting the groomer, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.Responsibilities:Assisting the Groomer:

  • Preparing grooming equipment and supplies.
  • Assisting with bathing, drying, and brushing pets.
  • Holding and restraining pets during grooming procedures.
  • Cleaning grooming tools and equipment.
  • Monitoring the well-being of pets during grooming sessions.
Pet Care:
  • Feeding, walking, and exercising pets as directed.
  • Providing fresh water and clean bedding for pets.
  • Administering medications or treatments as instructed by the veterinarian or pet owner.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in behavior, appetite, or health.
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
  • Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area.
  • Cleaning kennels, cages, and pet living spaces.
  • Disinfecting surfaces and removing pet waste.
  • Laundering pet bedding and towels.
  • Ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for pets and staff.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with pets, such as grooming, pet care, or veterinary assistance, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of pet grooming techniques, tools, and products is a plus.
  • Ability to handle and restrain pets safely and compassionately.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a genuine love for pets.
