Painter - FM Civil & Furniture (Talent Pool)Make a difference every dayThe Job OpportunityAs an Assistant Technician, your purpose of the roleis to carryout preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance within a facilities management civil works section, individually or as part of a technical team, within a designated area of Dubai Airports, whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the airport operations.Serco has a profound understanding of the region, having been operating in the Middle East since 1947 (for more than seven decades), where it harnesses international expertise, delivered on a local level.Key Accountabilities

• Ability to conform to all general and technical safety requirements at all times to ensure the health, safety & welfare of self and others at work.
• Any other work as assigned by the supervisor / duty engineer to achieve the purpose.
• Can read interpret and describe the functionality of civil works drawings (schematic & layout drawing)
• Knowledge in the use & interpretation of Local and International Standards and Regulations. Assets Exposure (Direct) Major assets below, but not limited to:Indoor and outdoor wallsVarious types of wall unitsGypsum walls, Wooden wall claddingsVarious types of furnitureRunways, Taxiways, Asphalt/paved/concrete Roads
• Tasks? Experience (Hands-on) Tasks such as, but not limited to:Conduct Inspections to determine the need for paintingPreparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paintMixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces ? Providing decorative and faux finishesRunway markingsPavement markingRoad markings

Specific requirements

• High School Certificate
• Industrial Training Institute Certificate / Diploma (2 year duration) in painting and decorating or equivalent (post high school)
• IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent
• Current valid UAE driving licence is desirable
• Minimum three (3) year experience within facility management and/or civil works or similar environment.
• Airport experience is considered as added advantage for this position
• Ability to communicate with staff, stakeholders and customers in oral and written English
• Working Knowledge in using MS Office (Word / Excel / Power point)
• Ability to perform safely and correctly the following:Use of painting & decorating hand and power tools ? Planned preventative maintenance (PM) routinesCorrective maintenance (CM)Breakdown maintenance (BD)
• To include (interior and exterior where applicable)Surface preparationWallpapering and hangings to walls and ceilingsApplication of decorative effectsPainting skirtingRoads and Pavement markingPainting plain and panelled doors and architraveWall and ceiling painting
