A Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to buildings, structures, machinery, and other surfaces. The role involves preparing surfaces, selecting appropriate materials, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and aesthetic standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers or sealers.Select and mix paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishing materials according to specifications.Apply paint or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.Repair surface imperfections such as cracks, holes, or rust before painting.Follow safety procedures, including proper handling and disposal of paints and solvents.Use scaffolding, ladders, or lifts safely to access high or difficult areas.Ensure paint finishes are even, smooth, and durable.Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades for timely completion of painting tasks.Keep work areas clean and organized.
