Job Description

Operations ManagerThe British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-established and supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.About the RoleThe Operations Manager has a broad area of responsibility, managing efficient day-to-day operations and events within the school. This covers the management of third-party contractors (providing security, catering, cleaners, facilities and school buses) as well as the schools reprographics, operations and bus supervisor teams. The Operations Manager works in conjunction with the Principal and Head of Finance to devise, manage and control budgets whilst promoting and facilitating the continued expansion and improvement of the schools facilities. This position also provides advice and makes recommendations relating to resources, energy and cost savings.The Operations Manager acts as project manager for all building works and upgrades and is responsible for health and safety within the school, ensuring continued compliance with HAAD, ADEK and Nord Anglia Education standards and regulations.The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in this role or a similar one in the UAE
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and project management skills
  • A high level of international and inter-cultural understanding
