The Nursing Porter is responsible for providing support services within the hospital, assisting nursing staff, patients, and visitors by transporting patients, specimens, medical equipment, and supplies efficiently and safely. The role ensures smooth hospital operations and a comfortable environment for patients and staff.Key Responsibilities:Transport patients safely to and from wards, diagnostic areas, operation theatres, and other departments.Assist nursing staff with non-clinical tasks such as moving equipment, supplies, and documents.Help patients with mobility needs, including transfers from beds to wheelchairs.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of transport areas and equipment.Respond promptly to requests from hospital staff and patients.Ensure safety protocols are followed during all transportation and handling tasks.Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.Support hospital logistics and logistical coordination as needed.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in healthcare support roles preferred.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.Knowledge of hospital safety and hygiene standards.
