The Mechanical Foreman is responsible for overseeing and supervising mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair activities on-site. He/She ensures that all mechanical work is carried out efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications and industry standards. The role involves managing a team of technicians and skilled workers, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance projects.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities on-site.Assign tasks to technicians and skilled workers based on project requirements.Monitor work progress, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain quality standards.Conduct inspections of mechanical installations, systems, and equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.Collaborate with other departments such as electrical, civil, and safety teams.Prepare reports on work progress, safety incidents, and maintenance activities.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Train and mentor junior staff and new team members.Manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for mechanical work.Qualifications & Skills:Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.Proven experience as a Mechanical Foreman or similar supervisory role.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Good understanding of safety standards and regulations.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Good communication and interpersonal abilities.Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments.
