Role Overview:We are seeking a hands-on Mechanic to join AMW’s operations team. The successful candidate will be skilled at diagnosing and repairing medium-to-heavy trucks, able to handle on-site breakdowns independently, and proficient in engine and gearbox troubleshooting and repairs. This role demands strong problem-solving ability and practical experience in vehicle maintenance.Key Responsibilities:• Respond to and resolve breakdowns on-site, working independently where required.• Diagnose mechanical faults across various truck types and perform engine and gearbox repairs.• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive checks to ensure fleet reliability.• Maintain accurate service and repair records and report status to supervisors.• Follow safety procedures and ensure workmanship meets company and regulatory standards.• Coordinate with workshop teams and parts suppliers to complete repairs efficiently.Requirements & Preferences:• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant mechanical experience; candidates with prior UAE experience will be given preference.• Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for heavy vehicles, including hands-on experience with engines and gearboxes.• Qualifications: Vocational training or certifications in mechanics or a related trade.• Excellent problem-solving skills, reliability, and the ability to work under pressure.• Previous exposure to the waste management industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
