Job Description

Mason Civil TechnicianMake a difference every dayThe Job OpportunityThe purpose of this position is to provide civil expertise within the maintenance team inclusive of but not limited to painting, carpentry and masonry.Key accountabilities

  • Assist in carrying out all level of civil related tasks.
  • May be required to carry out all level of moves and changes, modifications on buildings and structures including partitioning, stitching, grouting, scaffolding, pressure pointing, re-casing and general structural repairs and finishes.
  • Follow the appropriate project procedures and instructions to ensure compliance with the requirements;
  • Maintain accurate records of buildings and structures work accomplished and other information using a computerised project management system;
  • Assist the maintenance staff to implement complex systems or new projects;
  • Carry out other duties as directed by the line manager or member of the senior management team.

Specific requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the maintenance of buildings and structures activities, such as general structural maintenance and repairs of buildings.
  • Experience in but not limited to painting, carpentry and / or masonry works.
  • Extensiveknowledgeof building construction andmaintenancetechniques
  • Ability to use and calibrate various electro-mechanical tools and equipment for building maintenance;
  • Ability to write simple technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required;
  • At least holder of High School Diploma.
  • Vocational trade certificate or diploma in civil engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Holder of a validMobile Elevating Work Platforms(MEWPs) International Powered Access Federation(IPAF) Operator license or equivalent would be desirable.
