Job Description

This position is required to sustain the growth- to enhance optimization initiatives, product rollouts and support market management extending to countries without dedicated LMS Head Counts. Majorityof the countries do not have a segregated LMS product manager, (except Egypt and Algeria).Given the complexity of the role, we are looking for a VP level candidate. The reporting line of this role is a direct reporting to the LMS Head for Middle East North Africa and Pakistan.The key priorities are around the following themes which the applicant is expected to be delivering for the business:

  • Net Interest Margin (NIM) optimization (through RLAP optimisation, NIM tracking and reviews)
  • Sustained and revenue-accretive liabilities build out across onshore and offshore accounts, aligned to local/ global franchise requirements there are 11 presence countries and 3 are non presense countries of Middle East and North Africa (including Pakistan).
Responsibilities:
  • Execute business strategy to support our organic growth targets
  • The individual will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of Balance Sheet, NIM, LP, Hedge, LLR, control drivers, product rollout as well as client conversions .
  • Partner with senior members of the TTS Cluster and Regional Management Team, building and maintaining strong partnership among the ICG Business Heads to ensure full alignment.
  • Deliver the financial commitments? drive a balanced scorecard and focus on self run initiatives which lead to P&L growth
  • Grow the underlying business drivers ? maximizing returns while controlling risks
  • Partner with Operations & Technology to assure product delivery within standards and to reengineer existing products to gain efficiency and market expansion
  • Share best practices across geographies.
  • Facilitate and conduct relevant trainings for TTS as well as extended Banking partners to ensure full alignment to common objectives and priorities for the business
  • Work closely with the cluster PDS and P&R teams to ensure a Core Cash approach and decision making to benefit holistic Cash revenues and not just LMS
  • Work on annual award submissions for all key award categories and ensure the winning of the same
  • To maintain a robust control on all Risk & Governance related elements for MENA LMS
Key responsibilities:
  • Deliver on a P/L target related to optimisation, new business etc.
  • Regular interaction with the cash teams in each country and acting as a subject matter expert across the LMS Product segment
  • Ensuring standardization of LMS offerings to minimise process disparities and capability gaps across the entire set of countries in the cluster.
  • Focus on the NRFF model on a regular basis to ensure the accuracy of the model output vis--vis revenue numbers delivered month on month
  • Continuous scan/ monitoring of the LLR/ Cash Assets to ensure that there are no build ups and any significantly adverse Credit/ OSUC movement is captured and remediated in a timely manner in line with TTS Cash RAC for ODs
  • Working as a project manager on 2-3 cluster-wide initiatives across the MENA cluster
  • Working with Sales & country products on complex deals / marquee clients for deal solutioning
  • Focusing on key countries for expansion of LMS product offerings ( MBTBA/ GCE/MMTD/CIO/Sustainable Deposits) pipeline including client interactions as a product expert.
  • Performing regular market research across internal and external customers to evaluate market trends requirements and competitor analysis
  • Monthly tracking of Hedges/ LP to ensure that any gaps are immediately identified and corrected through close interaction with the country teams.
  • Working on client discussions and ensuring incremental liability business through Financial Institutions, corporates and public sector clients
Sales & Market Management Priorities:
  • Directly get involved in complex deals /client solutioning
  • Build a network of go to clients for Liabilities
  • Market research to evaluate market trends in LMS
  • Ongoing Competitive analysis to ensure gaps are identified in time and raised for resolution
  • Identify new flows/use cases where new mandates can be won as well as work effectively for deal replications
  • Build a strong industry image for Citi LMS/Cash business through engagement in market and industry events and where possible, as speaker/panel as well
Product Priorities :
  • Develop capabilities/ tech development road map for LMS Products rollout in the country to ensure standardisation of LMS offerings are up-to-date with client/market/regulatory requirements
  • Actively manage all risks across LMS product portfolio
  • Ensure all adequate approvals are in place for any new product/solution roll out and lead related CSR calls
  • Ensure all products across UAE LMS portfolio have revenue/expense/balance sheet mapping correct at all times
  • Ensuring all product programs to be annually updated as well as capability grids are updated at all times in close coordination with the countries
  • Close Management on the overall Overdraft Management process including exception monitoring, exposure management
  • Engaging in Balance sheet costing discussions, and helping create calculations (non EUC models) for LP/Hedge/GOT/Impacts etc
Others:
  • Lead related/adjacent products in partnership with UAE Cash Team
  • Develop broader understanding of other cash products to be able to back-up for team members during annual leaves/contingencies
  • Build strong relationship with RMs across segments, GSS teams and country treasury teams

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in Banking with primary focus on Cash Management . Prior Work experience in LMS preferred
  • Strong understanding of Citi policies, product platforms including GCE, Citidirect, Citirisk, Flexcube, RCX, GIW, etc.
  • Understanding of interactions between front-end and back-end systems

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s Degree Required. Masters is an advantage
