Our agile product delivery team makes this possible by delivering products that are innovative, efficient and a game changer in the aviation world.Our Manager Portfolio Delivery is responsible for the management and successful delivery of a large, complex portfolio of products and strategic investments enabling the next level of customer experience and streamlined Airline Operations.Driven by delivering products at pace, and on budget every time, whilst seamless managing multiple executive level stakeholders, external vendors, and internal development teams. Obsessed by rapidly realising business value and enabling significant business change through their delivery expertise in Scale Agile and their knowledge of product lifecycle management.Job Accountabilities. Orchestrate delivery of end-to-end business IT solutions across the assigned business portfolio of approved complex business change projects or large programme of work, by integrating and leveraging solution components and delivery capabilities across internal and external specialist solution providers and abstract the complexity from the business.. Responsible for driving end-to-end plans and managing dependencies for large projects and programs spanning across multiple portfolios.. Orchestrate successful product delivery in the assigned portfolio, spanning initiatives which are large in size, strategic or highly complex, coordinating with multiple senior business managers, other departments of the Emirates Group and other sections of IT.. Manage one or more large and strategic IT external partner or subcontractor (such as Offshore providers or off the shelf system providers), where contract values are high and where their contribution is significant to the scope and success or failure of the initiative(s). Manage the complexity of stakeholders and business communications, so that the business gets a single owner for end-to-end delivery of large initiatives in the assigned IT Business portfolio.. Ensure customer/stakeholder needs are met and expectations exceeded whilst supporting the team through transparency and openness, to grow and maintain trust with the wider business.. Contribute to the improvement of Scaled Agile delivery practices and skillset within the Agile Delivery Chapter. Keep up to date on industry standards and research. Be an excellent role model for the Portfolio and Agile delivery chapter, providing feedback and facilitating professional development. Empower teams in Scaled Agile to deliver their work with minimal assistance.. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of high performing individuals with analytical mindset, providing servant leadership and providing feedback whilst facilitating professional development. Foster a climate of systematically embedding a consistent delivery and agile culture with quality and continuous improvement.. Safeguard the investment of the Emirates Group on assigned large, complex strategic IT business Portfolio by continuous assessment of major risks and issues and address them to ensure the solutions are delivered within the agreed parameters. Address situational awareness, conflicts and prioritisation issues between stakeholder business units, internal IT departments, and suppliers. Ensure transparency, raise the level of awareness of major show stopper risks and issues and expertly drive governance towards replanning, recovery or termination of business IT initiatives.. Review contracts with external vendors prior to sign off to ensure proper protection for the Emirates Group in terms of supplier delivery commitments for large initiatives and the risks inherent to the different type of engagements/delivery models. Provides expertise in negotiating the right terms and ensures involvement of the relevant stakeholder groups.. Responsible for the financial management and transparency of the assigned business IT Portfolio or programme, maintain up-to-date accurate forecasts and ensure all costs incurred are effectively tracked and reported to senior business and IT executives. Collaborate and contribute in the preparation of business cases with the Digital Partner and other Portfolio members.. Responsible for ensuring change control governance for variations to scope, budget and schedule and act as the escalation point for delivery.. Assist the Product Portfolio Lead in shaping demand and sizing during definition/discovery phase of demand with key responsibility for Delivery considerations in Initiative Brief.Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications youll need to have:- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)Experience youll need to have:- 10 + years in Information Technology/Project Management.Knowledge/skills youll need to have:- Proven track record of large-scale product delivery using SAFe and other agile methodologies.- Extensive knowledge of Project and Programme Management practices, usually holding a certification from a recognised professional body (such as SAFe, Project Management Institute).- Role holder will have managed strategic initiatives and programs with strong dependency management skills, or a large delivery function with large scale people management and leadership experience.- Previous experience working in the airline / travel industry or related industries with large in-house product development teams is desirable.- Experience as a strong stakeholder manager, coach/trainer, and a results oriented manager is preferred.Professional Skills:Agile ways of Working, Relationship Management, Product Lifecycle management, Project/Program Management, Methods & Tools, Software Development and process improvement, large scale people management, Coaching and Training and large scale vendor management.Salary & BenefitsJoin us in a management role and enjoy an attractive tax-free salary.
