The Lead Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering and construction projects. They coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to facilitate efficient project execution and manage project timelines, resources, and risks.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to define project scope, milestones, and deadlines.Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect actual performance.Identify potential delays and develop mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are met.Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.Liaise with procurement, construction, and engineering teams to align schedules and resource availability.Assist in resource planning and allocation.Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company standards.Conduct schedule risk analysis and suggest corrective actions.Lead planning meetings and coordinate schedule reviews.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Proven experience as a Planning Engineer or Lead Planning Engineer in large-scale projects.Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.).Strong understanding of project management principles and techniques.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and leadership abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
