Job Description

Position Summary???The Health Sciences Laboratory Assistant supports faculty and students, within one or more Health Sciences program areas, by maintaining the Colleges laboratories and workshops installation, demonstration, and trouble-shooting of equipment and facilities. The Laboratory Assistant sets up the lab in preparation for experiments, and maintain supplies and documentations.Requirements? ?

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing?
  • prefered Masters Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience of which atleast 1 year in Nursing Laboratories.
  • Strong experience in?Clinical Simulation for Nursing
  • Membership to a relevant internationally-recognized professional association is desirable.
  • Training certificates or diplomas in workshop practices is desirable.
  • First Aid qualification is desirable.
  • A completed apprenticeship leading to certification in a professional trade would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment and to cope with pressure in a positive manner while working to deadlines within a busy and demanding environment
  • A demonstrated willingness to engage in professional development activities in order to develop and improve new and current skills, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
