Primary Responsibility:Visit project site frequently (as required) to supervise the ongoing construction activities. Toensure that the Works are carried out safely and in-line with quality standards, inaccordance to contract documents.ResponsibilitiesSite Electrical Engineer

• Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submissionrequirements of the project, along with the contractor.
• Review all construction documents and highlight any design and contractualdiscrepancies with the concerned SRE/RE / SPM / SHOS.
• Ensure that the main contractor and nominated subcontractor coordinate with allconcerned authorities departments and ensure that their requirements areadequately and satisfactorily incorporated.
• Review and forward any comments on all submittals including contractor designdrawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted bycontractors.
• Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, certify the installation of Electricalworks ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
• Review and forward any comments on the contractor?s method statement for installation, execution of the works.
• Attend site technical coordination meeting to discuss contractor(s) submissions,shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
• Routine Inspection of the works carried out by the contractor(s) to ascertain thatwork is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and acceptedpractice.
• Inspect the mock-up, permanent works, on-site and off-site materials to be used inthe project and organize field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, onconstruction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications anddetermine the acceptability for use on the project.
• Raise non-conformance notices (NCNs)/reports; site inspections notices (SINs)
• identify quality deficiencies in conjunction with the SRE/RE/ SPM.
• Review the corrective actions proposed by the contractor, respond / follow ups andclose out procedure
• Any potential safety concerns identified at site shall be reported to site SHSEE /SRE/RE / SPM
• Liaise with the SHOS for the effective implementation of the quality managementsystems and site supervision provision activities.
• Obtain samples and quotations as required for finalization of any PS/PC Items.
• Verify the accuracy of the contractor?s ?As-Built? drawings reflecting in details theas- built conditions and approve the As-Built drawings.
• Liaise with the Statutory Authorities and follow up all final inspection and approvalsas required.
• Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over ofthe works.

1. Project / Area Interface

• Assist SRE/RE/SPM in the supervision of the works to ensure compliance with thecontract documents.
• Assist/support the site team and the respective SRE/RE/SPM with theimplementation of quality management systems.
• Liaise with the project supervision team, coordinate and resolve any issues ofconcern.
• Analyse current methods of site supervision and provide recommendations forcontinuous improvement
• Compile Site Feedback and forward to the SRE/RE / SPM / SHOE
• Assist the site team in the satisfactory close out of the project including snagging/desnagging of the works and related documentation.

2. Client Interface

• Attend meetings with Client (as required).
• Liaise with the Client for the necessary approval of samples.

3. Contractor Interface

• Regularly attend site technical coordination meetings with Contractor

4. PSO Office Interface

• Liaise with the SHOS any particular project site related issues requiring inputand/or feedback.
• Coordinate leave request and discuss leave cover with the SHOS.
• Liaise with OMSOD for all HR / Finance / Administrative issues.

5. Design Office Interface

• Identify, raise and follow-up design office support requests in co-ordination with theSHOS.

Functional Duties

• Assume responsibility of Electrical works in the project in coordination with Sr.Electrical Engineer and certify on completion the installation.
• Monitor performance of the Contractor / Sub-contractor and identify, raise anyquality/workmanship concerns with the SQE/SRE/RE / SPM.
• Review quality procedures and effectively implement QA/QC plans across theproject
• Identify any particular site safety issues and bring to the notice of the contractor /SHSEE/SRE/RE / SPM

Line Management / Administrative Duties

• Update and maintain the latest revision of all project documents
• Review, coordinate and forward submittals, inspection requests, technical query tothe project team and/or discipline engineers.
• Assist the project site team during internal, external and site surveillance audits.
• Coordinate leave request and discuss leave cover with the SHOS.
• Prepare and regularly (weekly) submit reports and maintain records.
