Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef assists the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. They support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting dishes, supervising staff, and maintaining efficiency in the kitchen.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.Prepare, cook, and present food items according to the restaurant’s standards.Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control and ordering supplies.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.Assist in menu planning and development.Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen.Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred.Good knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards.
