One of our prestigious clients based inDubai are looking forJewelry DesignerJob Summary:The Jewelry Designer is responsible for all aspects related to the design of Retail, Custom Bespoke pieces, and Collections with a focus on high end fine jewelry. In addition, the Designer will develop concepts within the strategic direction of the company, while providing ongoing insights into competitive landscape, design trends, innovative techniques and methods for design, and relevant industry trends, and strategically outlining the pieces/collections evolution.Responsibilities:? Work on drafting designs based on bespoke requests or design of a new collection and pieces? Create, develop and rework designs for projects? Sketch, build and update jewelry and product designs in 2D and 3D? Deliver design sketches and prototypes and provide specifications? Prepare and finalize technical drawings of proposed pieces to be used for production? Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization? Select and assess the quality of gemstones such as diamonds and other precious stones? Maintain and manage workflow and jewelry track designs? Research, identify and forecast market jewelry and fashion trends and arrange materials accordingly? Work closely other departments/stakeholders and suppliers to research and develop new designs of jewelry? Coordinate and oversee the processes of mould making to final product delivery process? Communicate with clients to understand their jewelry requirements? Prepare a plan of work once the design is decided on? Evaluate wax models and improve models as needed? Cast new pieces in metal using wax models as a guide? Provide ideas to the marketing department on events related to women?s jewelry and luxury trends? Demonstrate and apply knowledge of style concepts in jewelry, product, fashion, and art as they relate to the brand design? Create and organize design decks and presentations? Manage and maintain accurate usage of design systems and appropriate pass off procedures
