The Position holder is responsible for: An International Logistics Lead is responsible for executing international direct sales shipments in line with the contractual requirements of the third-party customers and SLB as well as the regulatory requirements that govern the transactional process until delivery is completed to the third-party customer. This involves careful coordination with the business lines and functions such as Contracts, Legal, Planning & Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance and Trade Control. An International Logistics Lead reports directly to the Direct Sales Manager. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Commercials & Contracts:

  • Understand and comply with customer contracts and particularly the shipment requirements
  • Support Sales & Commercial team in developing budgetary cost and lead-team estimates to incorporate in commercial offering
  • Monitor the cargo movement from tender phase to delivery as per contractual agreement
  • Develop good understanding of international commercial terms
Planning
  • Design and plan the logistics transactional flow as per the customer commercial terms and keep track of delivery lead time in close collaboration with the business line and customer representatives
Logistics
  • Manage logistics operation to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of shipments in accordance with client contractual terms and manage relationship with business lines and customers
  • Run freight bids through the Bidding Portal, negotiate rates, lead-times, routing with the freight service providers
  • Finalize the mobilization plan along with estimated cost, freight schedule and obtain approval from Business Line representatives
  • Ensure all relevant information and shipping documents are transmitted to the Business Line, Customer representative and customer appointed agent
Finance & Accounting
  • Execute Revenue Recognition related tasks timely to enable the fiscal billing, troubleshooting any systemic anomalies where applicable
  • Complete the task in Fiori for freight service provider invoice payment
  • Perform end to end Letter of Credit (LC) process application starting with LC draft review, document preparation, compiling all mandatory paperwork for bank channel submission, liaise with bank representative for processing and transmitting subject LC documentation to customer bank up to payment confirmation
  • Coordinate with the Finance representatives for issuance of any banking instruments such as bank guarantee, performance bonds etc.
Accounts Payable
  • Monitor Fiori for completeness of data on a monthly basis to enable timely freight service provider invoices
Business Systems
  • Execute the end-to-end logistic transaction in SAP, conducting pre-requisite assessment on order related transaction (i.e. FDP, Sales Order, Account Assignment, Incoterm, Ship to/Sold to/Notify to Partner Codes, Purchase Order History, Material PN, UOM, Min Order Qty, FOC item)
  • Troubleshoot any discrepancies promptly in the SAP process by liaising with the relevant stakeholders, SAP ITT
  • Manage and monitor the SAP Master-Data
Audits
  • Conduct period internal self-audits to gauge compliance with Direct Sales, QHSE and TCC standards, guidelines and processes
  • Cooperate and collaborate with internal and external auditors for timely and successful completion of audits
Trade Control Compliance
  • Keep up to date with the TCC alerts and implement the operational guidance in all day-to-day processes
  • Coordinate with GTS Team to analyze and resolve any GTS blocks during transactions
Record Keeping
  • Maintain the central repository for all documentation associated with the direct sales transaction including but not limited to shipping documents such as commercial invoices, bill of lading, customs declarations, supplier documents etc.
Service Quality & Compliance
  • Report and investigate any process deviation or non-conformance to ensure continuous improvement on service quality
  • Comply with applicable company policies including but not limited to Finance, Personnel, Trade Control Compliance, procurement, and QHSE
  • Maintain records of SQ trends to identify patterns in shipping errors or delays and devise quality improvement plans
  • Serve as first point of escalation for any service quality issues related to logistics, delivery & AP
  • Lead SQ Investigations in QUEST
Freight Service Provider & Agent Management
  • Assess freight forwarders and agents performance with respect to on-time delivery, on-time collection, accuracy of documents, competitive pricing, communication protocols, service delivery, availability, escalation matrix
  • Responsible for conducting quarterly business reviews, documentation in QUEST and follow up to closure
  • Manage the onboarding of 4PL for Fiori access
  • Warehouse & Inventory Tracking
  • Track and monitor inventory in transit in the Direct Sales Hubs (Jebel Ali, Hong Kong, Antwerp)
  • Track and monitor 4PL Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as per the contractual agreement
Training & Mentoring
  • Develop & maintain the direct sales process training modules
  • Ensuring adequate onboarding and technical training of all newcomers
  • Coach & mentor the cell members on direct sales processes
Reporting
  • Maintain monthly tracking reports for shipment count and other KPIs
  • Maintain scalability and customer complexity matrix
  • Liaise with business lines to consolidate quarterly rolling forecast
  • Maintain all deviations from standard process through QUEST Exemption or MOC process
Scope of Work: Customers will be assigned to the International Logistics Lead by the direct manager based on the business needs and volume as per the scalability & country complexity matrix. Special projects may be assigned occasionally to the International Logistics Lead based on the customer requirements. Critical Certification & Competencies:

  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics
  • Effective communicator at all levels within the organization and with suppliers

  • Experience in SAP logistics environment
