Job Description

The Internal Compliance Associate will work closely with other roles within the Compliance function to identify non-compliance with policies and procedures in specified areas. The role will also be required to work with colleagues and management within other departments on compliance initiatives.More specifically, the core responsibilities of the role is to provide support on the following areas within Farah owned and / or operated properties:

  • Conduct cash counts.
  • Conduct cashier locker checks.
  • Conduct CCTV reviews as and when required during investigations.
  • Assist the Internal Compliance Support Manager in conducting investigations.
  • Follow up with departments on outstanding EAA audit points and collate these for review.
Assist with administrative matters of the department.Compliance Checks
  • Visit Farah owned and/or operated properties and count cash stored in cashier lockers, vaults and any other areas as required;
  • Conduct physical inspections of systems and processes as part of investigations and periodic review of controls.
Follow-ups
  • Maintain and update the follow up tracker.
  • Co-ordinate and collect feedback from Action Owners.
  • Gather and store supporting documents for completed actions.
  • Communicate the actions that have been closed and the supporting that have been received to the Internal Auditors.
  • Follow up with Internal Auditor on follow up review outcomes.
  • Ensure action plans are closed on time through timely planning and liaising with Action owners.
  • Assist the Internal Compliance Manager in developing timely and accurate reports for Senior Managers.
  • Track new, in progress, completed and closed audit points as part of quarterly KPIs reported to Miral.?
Administrative
  • Maintain the Internal Compliance documentation and templates within the departments shared drive and within the Document Center.
  • Organize and maintain the calendar of meetings for audit.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
  • MS Office knowledge ? Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Diploma in any field?
  • Minimum 3 years experience?
  • 2 years of experience in Farah, preferably in an operational capacity of Finance.
  • 1 years experience in report writing?
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • Excellent verbal and formal written communication
  • Excellent planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to think and understand risk and risk management
  • Strong document management skills
