Job Description

Interior Design And Visual Merchandiser | IKEA | Al Wahda | Abu DhabiAbout the roleYou are responsible to securethat the visual expression of the store is in line with the IKEA manuals so the IKEA Concept is fully implemented. Youworks with the visual presentation of the IKEA product range in the Showroom. All designing, presentations and communications should be as per IKEA standards. To establish rapport and credibility in assisting customers to purchase the company?s product range whilst at the same time maintaining the company?s standard of merchandising and ensuring stock availability to achieve sales target set by the company by going the extra mile to exceed expectations.Key Specific Accountabilities:Responsible to secure that the visual expression of the store is in line with the IKEA manuals so the IKEA Concept is fully implemented.

  • Assist in planning in-house projects and in preparing drawings and perspectives accordingly to IKEA Concept.
  • Implement and maintain all interiors and displays in the showroom
  • Support the planning and implementation of the store commercial calendar according to the Country Vitality Calendar
  • Get involved in other projects relating to activities that are carried out in the store from time to time. This may include rebuilding business area, based on feedback from range relating to changed priorities, or poor performance of the area
  • Plan and implement the room sets to be inspirational for the customers and offer home furnishing solutions
  • Ensuring cost-effective, safe and environmentally friendly display solutions implementation in line with local legislation
  • Resourcing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of home furnishing solutions within the local market
  • Maintain store standards to the required level
  • Suggest means of improving sales to his supervisor as well as determine ?slow moving? or ?non-selling? items and suggest sales action.
  • Maintain a full display of products via merchandising methods as laid down by the company.
  • Be up to date with changes in the company?s products range such as new items or changes in existing items; Keep the Sales Manager informed of any customer?s problems/comments on the product range and/or any gaps in the range.
