The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a new position of instructor in mathematics. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the foundation undergraduate level. They should also be willing to actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of teaching philosophy, a list of courses taught, and three recommendation letters. The successful candidate will teach exclusively at the ZMC program (Zayed Military Center Program) and not at the main UAEU Al Maqam campus. He/she will be involved in teaching foundation mathematics courses to newly admitted students to the college of engineering. These foundation math courses are prerequisites to the Calculus 1 and Linear Algebra 1 courses. He/she must be available to teach starting July 2023. English is the language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications starts immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Candidates are required to have at least a Masters degree in Mathematics. Evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level and strong communication skills in English are expected. Minimum Qualification The candidate should have a Masters degree in Mathematics, at least two years of teaching experience at the university level, and a strong command of the English language. Preferred Qualification Masters degree in Mathematics or higher.
