Monitors all landscape work at site, ensure compliance with approved standards.
Liaises with the Site/ Senior Discipline Architect/ engineers and other to provide support and guidance as required.
Monitors and reviews the Contractors documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any project components or systems.
Monitors safety aspects when dealing with the installations.
Provides progress reports of the various technical aspects of the project.
Maintains registers of all submittals and testing, both on and off-site.
Maintains full site records, including daily site diaries in an approved format and formal monthly progress photography.
Familiar with the projects contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications and health and safety measures.
Ensures that the Contractor/s are compliant with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
Responsible for daily follow up with the Contractor.
Prepares site measurements and surveying checks in coordination with a Land Surveyor for alignments and levels.
Maintains records of material tests performed and executed works.
Audits inspections for conformity to contract documents and Contractor submitted plans.
Minimum RequirementsReporting to the Landscape Architect, The Inspector is responsible for site inspections, surveillance and testing of site activities to ensure compliance with the Construction documents and standards. Working closely with their relevant architect, the Inspector must record and supervise all the activities carried out by the Contractor.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Horticulture or Landscape.
