Job Description

Job Purpose:This is a key role to support and coordination for Issue Management plus governance/ escalation/ reporting procedures/ lessons learnt along with being Assets SME.Job Background/Context:Majority of time is going to be spent on coordinating with product/project owners, various control functions, and CBORC in implementation of strategic initiatives and products.Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the PBWM unit managers in identifying issues and supporting them in drafting CAPs for the iCAPs system with appropriate action steps and realistic target dates, entering and activating draft issues and CAPs in iCAPs system on a timely basis, monitoring CAP progress, proactively escalating ?at-risk? issues and CAPs, and particularly validating completed CAPs.
  • Reviewing and ensuring data quality of issues and CAPs being entered into the iCAPs system, including the appropriateness of issue ownership and rating as well as adequacy of corrective actions and compensating controls put in place to mitigate the risk until the CAPs have been implemented sustainably.
  • Ensuring that CAP sustainability and internal validation is completed prior to handoff to Internal Audit for validation, since the validation period is not to be used for sustainability.
  • Ensure related record keeping and documentation of Middle East Consumer governance forum and escalation protocols in country and with regional teams
  • Partner with business and related functions in the coordination of internal audits and regulatory reviews and provide necessary support with audit and examination deliverables, tracking of engagements, monitoring of issues and CAPs raised as part of the audit process, etc
  • Consistent, diligent and timely execution of the ?lessons learnt? program based on the principles of permanent control readiness
  • Perform Process reviews i.e. reviews on Control design, execution and monitoring as per ongoing business requirements.
  • Perform tasks related to Covid Change management tracking and reporting
  • Assist in the implementation of global, regional and country risk and control policy requirements
  • Assist in preparation for key management meetings, reviews and record keeping thereof for ME consumer Controls ensuring coverage and oversight over emerging and existing Consumer Banking key risks, issues, controls, corrective actions and enhancement initiatives on an end-to-end basis
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2-5 years of relevant controls and/or project experience
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions
  • Experience in creating and implementing processes that result in improved business performance
  • Ability to present a compelling case for ideas and initiatives through listening and articulating a convincing point of view
Education:
  • Bachelor?s/University degree or equivalent experience
