Job Description

Job Position – HSE Officer Company Name – RFM Global Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our facilities Management team. The role is focused on ensuring a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors by developing safety policies, conducting inspections, leading training, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards.Key Responsibilities:– Assist the Operations Manager in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.– Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards recommend corrective actions.– Monitor and evaluate health and safety risks ensure risk assessments and control measures are updated.– Investigate incidents and near-misses prepare reports implement preventative measures.– Lead safety training and awareness programs for technicians, staff, and contractors.– Ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, alarms, emergency exits) is regularly checked and maintained.– Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).– Maintain accurate safety records inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation.– Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections ensure timely resolution of findings.– Support operations by advising on ergonomics, safe equipment usage, and work procedures.Qualifications:– Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.– Safety certification (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) is highly preferred.– 2–3 years of relevant safety experience, preferably within Facilities Management or similar environments.Skills & Competencies:– Strong knowledge of UAE health & safety legislation and best practices.– Excellent communication and training delivery skills.– Analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment mindset.– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.– Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).– Familiarity with safety management software is a plus.Working Conditions:– Based on-site at client facilities.– Must be able to conduct site walks/inspections, sometimes in challenging conditions.– Flexibility required for occasional evening/weekend audits or emergency response.
