The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards. They conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and training to promote a safe work environment across the site.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations.Develop, implement, and maintain HSE procedures and policies.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.Facilitate safety training sessions for employees and contractors.Monitor and control the use of safety equipment and PPE.Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures.Keep records of safety activities, inspections, and incident reports.Promote safety awareness and a safety-first culture among staff.Assist in environmental management and waste disposal procedures.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in HSE or safety roles.Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or IOSH.Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and standards.Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation.
