Our client is a 3* hotel in a rural setting part of UK. They are looking for a deputy to assist the GM with the operations of the hotel.This person needs the knowledge, the experience, and the confidence to cover running the hotel in our absence. So strong leadership skills are important.They need to be our eyes and ears when we are not around.A clear working understanding of front office/reception is vital, including how a PMS (property management system) operates. But they will be required to assist in F&B as well.High levels of customer care skills are also vital. Plus, the ability to handle all sorts of different people - staff and customers - in an even and professional manner.An understanding of profit margins, and costs, including staffing, food, and beverages, etc.Honesty and integrity - vital.Strong work ethic - vital.Resilience - vital.Positive can do attitude - vital.
