JOB DESCRIPTIONRole: Head of Regtech & Business Operations PlatformsLocation: Abu DhabiROLE PURPOSE:Direct, monitor, control and supervise the activities of Technology RegTech & Operations department to prioritize and regulate business request for adding new services or changing existing services.Align and prioritize Projects across the portfolio based on the business value contribution.Establish relationship with Business stakeholders with ADIB Group to manage business demands (strategic & tactical).Provide technology support to Compliance and Operation (Payments) divisions in order to achieve their objectives with innovative solutions and stable services.Responsible for support, availability & performance of Core Banking, Compliance and Payment platforms.Contribute to continuous improvement of ADIB business processes and internal IT processes by ensuring identification of new technologies and opportunities for automation and provide direction to enhance the efficiency of the bank in delivery of its services.Work to build and maintain a risk free and controlled IT environment at ADIB. Ensure compliance with Banks and IT standard policies and procedure.Build and maintain a strong professional, positive, goal and action-oriented team of highly motivated staff. Train and coach to undertake challenging assignment. Recruit talents, train and coach them, set goals/KPIs and reward good performer.Actively contribute to establish, integrate, monitor and manage required standards for the use of information, digital services and all associated technology at ADIB.Prepare IT budget for the department and control spending and incorporate measure for cost savings.Key Accountabilities of the role:Strategy/Business:

• Plan, Manage, Align and Oversee all RegTech & Operations unit /teams established to manage business demands related to IT across ADIB Group.
• Delivery of Projects and Other related deliverables with their scopes (Time, Cost and Deliverables) -
• Maintain ADIB Application portfolio by upgrading the features and functions to meet business expectations. Ensure existing solutions are continuously kept up to date. Maintain optimal level of application support -
• Participate in formulating ADIB IT strategic plan. Formulate correct IT Strategic project plans with resources and necessary budget.
• Identify new technologies and business area for automation that would enhance the efficiency of the bank in delivery of its services.
• Provide guidelines for smooth interfacing, integrating or enhancement of any IT systems in order to avoid any inconsistency in system functionality and data/information accuracy.
• Managing the excellent working relationship with business unit heads to deliver successful projects with agreed timeframe.
• Contributing to the continual improvement of ADIB Business processes automation by identifying problem areas and proposing solutions.

Risk Management:

• Ensure and contribute to build Risk free/controlled IT environment at ADIB.
• Ensure satisfactory department audit with no high risk finding on section.

People Management:

• Create and manage strong team of IT Team to Service ADIB Group.
• Playing an active part in building strong professional relationships and an environment, which is positive, goal and action oriented.
• Leading the team of highly motivated staff, train and coach to undertake challenging assignment. Recruit talents, train and coach them, set KPIs and reward good performer.
• Contributing to a professional and constructive atmosphere in the division.

Regulatory & Business Conduct:

• Complying with Banks and IT standard policies and procedure.

Governance:

• Ensure & contribute to Establish, integrate, monitor and manage required standards for the use of information, digital services and all associated technology at ADIB, as well as select, design, justify, implement and operate controls and risk management strategies in a pragmatic and cost-effective manner to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.

Financial management and budgeting:

• Preparing IT budget for the department and control spending, review related financial reports and incorporate measure for cost savings.
• Reviewing budget tracking reports and take appropriate actions align all dept. activities accordingly.

Other Responsibilities:

• Provide guidelines in standardization, parameterization and configuration of new product setup in IT Systems in view of overall IT systems understanding
• Participating in ITD Management Meetings and its decisions.

• RegTech and Operations team and staff
• ITD leadership team
• Business unit executives
• Other business function executives (for example, Finance, HR and legal executives)
• Outside vendors and technology leaders in other companies

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Has strong business acumen and business planning skills.
• Solicits information on enterprise direction, goals and industry competitive environment to determine how own function can add value to the organization and to customer satisfaction.
• Makes decisions and recommendations clearly linked to the organizations strategy and financial goals, reflection and awareness of external dynamics.
• Demonstrates awareness by providing clear explanations for actions taken, relative to customer requirements, needs and industry trends.
• Develops and communicates a compelling vision of the future for the IT Division to play a transformational role in the banks business
• Personally inspires and supports a culture of innovation in support of business outcomes
• Shapes the capability of the IT Workforce team, developing the necessary skills, competencies, roles and organization for future.

Required experience:

• Minimum 15 years experience in various IT disciplines.
• At least 3-5 years of experience of managerial position in reputed bank in the region.
