Job Description

The Head of Product Design is responsible for leading the Product Designers and Researchers, and will provide direction and guidance of their output, facilitating cross-functional partnerships and design process. In addition to promote a world-class design practice, influence product strategy, and ensure product execution and provide mentorship and champion the craft and career development of the design team, while creating a safe haven so designers can accomplish their best work.Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and inspire a team of product designers and researchers, providing direction and pushing the quality of the work
  • Influence product strategy and contextualize high-level decisions and direction for your team. Function as a strategic partner for the Product Squad teams.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional team members from Program Management and Work closely with Product, Marketing and Engineering to bring our products to the next level.
  • Hire designers and researchers who will continue to push the bar of excellence for the team.
  • Advocate for user research for the needs of the product
  • Analyse and understand our users, their goals and their preferences.
  • Define a strong and opinionated visual design style for all aspects of the product management team.
  • Expand Design strategy and principles in relation to our products
  • Inspire and motivate the Design team to push their best work possible and act as an ambassador of design within the product squad teams.
  • Build positive and safe working environment for product design teams.
