Job Description

To lead and develop the inclusion department, ensuring that all students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive appropriate support to achieve their full potential. To promote an inclusive culture across the school that values diversity and ensures equal access to learning for all students.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and evaluate the school’s inclusion policy and strategies.Lead the planning and delivery of SEN support and interventions across the school.Oversee the identification, assessment, and review of students with SEND.Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.Collaborate with teachers, parents, external agencies, and specialists to support student needs.Lead the development and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Learning Support Plans.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to SEND.Manage the inclusion team, including SEN coordinators, learning support staff, and specialists.Promote a positive and inclusive school ethos that celebrates diversity.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion initiatives and interventions.Maintain accurate records and produce reports on the progress of students with SEND.Support the professional development of staff in inclusive education.
